It is the story of one of very few adults on record living with long segment Hirschsprung disease, a rare bowel condition she was diagnosed with at twelve days old. It moves through the medical realities of a life like this, through miscarriage, IVF and surrogacy, through surgical menopause at thirty, and into the woman she has become on the other side of it all.
